  • Disney can’t stop making the headlines. This time, as the 96th Oscars comes around, Disney advertisers announce that they have sold out on ads as brands from 17 different categories jump in to fill the spots on their ads inventory for the ceremony. (Link)

  • Employment in the advertising and public relations industry faces a significant dip in February 2024, but a surge in global ad spending is predicted to take place in 2024. (Link)

  • An agency called Uncommon creates a three-minute film directed by Kim Gehrig for SiriusXM’s new commercial, “A Life in Sound” that celebrates people being moved by the music that they love. (Link)

  • More beer and actor stuff?! Jesse Plemons makes an overdue comeback to the world of ads in Shiner Beer’s latest ad called “It’s a Texas Thing”. The brand aims to reassert and reclaim its reputation as Texas’ quintessential craft beer through this campaign. (Link)

  • Google has a new treat for advertisers: Meridian, a new advertising measurement tool that measures post-cookie ads. The tool currently has only been released with limited availability, but Google plans to release the free-to-use tool to all soon. (Link)
